James A. Geraghty, M.D.

James A. Geraghty, M.D.

Dr. Geraghty is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a Diplomat of the prestigious National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Geraghty graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in 1991 and was President of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Chicago in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Geraghty has conducted research on autologous fibrin tissue adhesives and post-op pain control in Head & Neck Surgery. He has published papers in the Annals of Otolaryngology, Rhinology and Laryngology. Dr. Geraghty is an Asst. Clinical Professor with the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Peoria. Dr. Geraghty practices general adult and pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT) with a special interest in cancers and tumors of the head & neck and sleep disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disease, nasal and sinus disease and the use of minimally invasive sinus surgery.  In fact Dr. Geraghty was one of the first doctors in the Midwest to be certified in the use of minimally invasive Balloon Sinuplasty.


 

Ira D. Uretzky, M.D.

Ira D. Uretzky, M.D.

Dr. Uretzky is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Fellow, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Fellow, American College of Surgeons and a Member, American Academy of Otolaryngologic Allergy. He is a Diplomat of both the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 1992 Dr. Uretzky graduated from The George Washington University School of Medicine. In 1993 he completed an Internship in the Department of General Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. From 1994 till 1998 Dr. Uretzky was a Resident in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Uretzky served in the U.S. Army from June 1992 through June 2002, achieving the rank of Major. Dr. Uretzky is Board Certified in Otolaryngology.  Additionally, Dr. Uretzky currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Otolaryngology at the SIU School of Medicine.


 

James J. Klemens, M.D.

Dr. James Klemens graduated from Southern Illinois University as a Doctor of Medicine in 2000. He completed his internship in the Department of Surgery, University of Chicago Hospitals in 2001, and did his Residency in Otolaryngology and a research Fellowship with an emphasis in sinus inflamation at The University of Chicago Hospitals, graduating in 2007.  Dr. Klemens has partnered with OSF St. Francis Hospital to bring Cochlear Implants (It’s the only medical device designed to restore a human sense!) and bone anchored hearing aid implants (BAHA) to deaf and hearing impaired individuals in central Illinois. Dr. Klemens is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Christopher D. Lansford, M.D., FACS 

Dr. Christopher Lansford is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Illinios, Urbana-Champaign College of Medicine.  In 1999 Dr. Lansford graduated from The University of Michigan Medical School.  He completed a General Surgery internship at Duke University Medical Center in 2000 and a Head and Neck Surgery residency in 2004.  Dr. Lansford was Chief Resident at Duke during 2003 – 2004.  Dr. Lansford returned to The University of Michigan in 2004 and completed a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction in 2005.  Dr. Lansford is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Head and Neck Society.  Dr. Lansford has served as an Assistant Professor, Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at The University of Florida.  He is licensed to practice medicine in Illinois, Michigan, Florida and North Carolina.


 

Hetal H. Patel, M.D.

Hetal H. Patel, M.D.

Dr. Patel is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.  She received her Doctor of Medicine from The St. Louis University School of Medicine in 2011. She then completed a residency program in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Penn State – Hershey S. Milton Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in Otology at the Florida Ear and Sinus Center. Dr. Patel will be providing general Otolaryngological medical and surgical assistance to both adult and pediatric patients with a special emphasis in Otology which is medical and surgical care of patients, both adult and pediatric, with diseases that affect the ears (including hearing loss, tinnitus & inflammatory diseases of the ear), dizziness and other balance issues, facial nerve disorders, tumors of the ear, hearing nerve and skull base maladies. Dr. Patel is an in-network provider for most commercial insurance plans.


 

Jamie Jelinek, PA-C

Physician Assistant


 

Jamie is a licensed physician assistant by the State of Illinois and is certified by the National Commission of Certification of the Physician Assistant. Jamie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. She was awarded a Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant Studies degree from Midwestern University in 2012. Prior to her employment with Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group, Jamie gained valuable clinical experience through her position as a physician assistant with UnityPoint Methodist Family Practice, Pekin. Jamie works closely with each of our ENT physicians in providing outstanding clinical patient care.


 

Richard A. Miller, PA-C

Physician Assistant


Rich is a licensed physician assistant by the State of Illinois and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Mr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Arts in mathematics with teacher’s certification from Eastern Illinois University in 1993. He then completed his Physician Assistant Certificate from St. Louis University in 2000 as well as a Bachelor of Medical Science in 2003. Prior to joining Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group, Rich held positions as a Certified National Ski Patroller (Keystone Resorts) from 1993 to 1996. From 1996 through 1998 Rich held concurrent positions as a substitute teacher with Peoria District 150, as a CT Technologist Assistant at Proctor Hospital and as a Patient Care Technician at OSF St Francis Medical Center. Mr. Miller was employed by Renal Care Associates as a Physician Assistant from 2000 to 2008 and by Midwest ENT from 2008 to 2018.

 

William A. Johnson IV, M.D.

Board Certified Otolaryngologist


Dr. Johnson is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.  Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.  Dr. Johnson received his Medical Degree also from the University of Michigan in 2005 and he completed his residency at the University of Chicago, Department of Surgery, Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery Section in 2010.  Prior to joining Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group, Dr. Johnson practiced in Ohio, simultaneously treating patients at St. Lukes Hospital, Defiance Regional Medical Center, Flower Hospital, and Toledo Children’s Hospital. Dr. Johnson practices general adult and pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT).  


Meet Our Physical Therapists

Brianna (Lampe) Fullenkamp, PT, DPT

Dr. of Physical Therapy


Dr. Fullenkamp received a Bachelor of Health Science and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Bradley University (2017).  Prior to joining Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Center at our FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center, Dr. Fullenkamp first assisted patients at the Knox County Nursing Home (via Functional Pathways where she treated a variety of patients differing conditions and levels of mobility.  Following that, she assisted patients at OSF Home Health and OSF St. James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac. Dr. Fullenkamp has received specialized training from FYZICAL and now assists patients with improving their balance, vestibular functions and dizziness. Dr. Fullenkamp’s interests involve working with adults who have balance, dizziness and vertigo issues.

 

Jessica Spencer, PT, DPT

Dr. of Physical Therapy


Dr. Spencer received a Bachelor of Science Degree, Suma Cum Laude, in Health Science from Bradley University in 2010.  She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 2012. Prior to joining Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group at our FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center, Dr. Spencer was employed as a Physical Therapist at OSF St. Francis Medical Center where her primary focus was working with patients with neurological disorders, including stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injuries.  Dr. Spencer has received specialized training from FYZICAL to evaluate and treat patients with balance impairments and vestibular dysfunction. Her interests include working with patients of all ages to improve their balance and independence in everyday life.
