James A. Geraghty, M.D.
Dr. Geraghty is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a Diplomat of the prestigious National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Geraghty graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in 1991 and was President of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Chicago in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Geraghty has conducted research on autologous fibrin tissue adhesives and post-op pain control in Head & Neck Surgery. He has published papers in the Annals of Otolaryngology, Rhinology and Laryngology. Dr. Geraghty is an Asst. Clinical Professor with the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Peoria. Dr. Geraghty practices general adult and pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT) with a special interest in cancers and tumors of the head & neck and sleep disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disease, nasal and sinus disease and the use of minimally invasive sinus surgery. In fact Dr. Geraghty was one of the first doctors in the Midwest to be certified in the use of minimally invasive Balloon Sinuplasty.
Ira D. Uretzky, M.D.
Dr. Uretzky is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Fellow, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Fellow, American College of Surgeons and a Member, American Academy of Otolaryngologic Allergy. He is a Diplomat of both the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 1992 Dr. Uretzky graduated from The George Washington University School of Medicine. In 1993 he completed an Internship in the Department of General Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. From 1994 till 1998 Dr. Uretzky was a Resident in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Uretzky served in the U.S. Army from June 1992 through June 2002, achieving the rank of Major. Dr. Uretzky is Board Certified in Otolaryngology. Additionally, Dr. Uretzky currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Otolaryngology at the SIU School of Medicine.
James J. Klemens, M.D.
Dr. James Klemens graduated from Southern Illinois University as a Doctor of Medicine in 2000. He completed his internship in the Department of Surgery, University of Chicago Hospitals in 2001, and did his Residency in Otolaryngology and a research Fellowship with an emphasis in sinus inflamation at The University of Chicago Hospitals, graduating in 2007. Dr. Klemens has partnered with OSF St. Francis Hospital to bring Cochlear Implants (It’s the only medical device designed to restore a human sense!) and bone anchored hearing aid implants (BAHA) to deaf and hearing impaired individuals in central Illinois. Dr. Klemens is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Christopher D. Lansford, M.D., FACS
Dr. Christopher Lansford is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Illinios, Urbana-Champaign College of Medicine. In 1999 Dr. Lansford graduated from The University of Michigan Medical School. He completed a General Surgery internship at Duke University Medical Center in 2000 and a Head and Neck Surgery residency in 2004. Dr. Lansford was Chief Resident at Duke during 2003 – 2004. Dr. Lansford returned to The University of Michigan in 2004 and completed a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction in 2005. Dr. Lansford is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Head and Neck Society. Dr. Lansford has served as an Assistant Professor, Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at The University of Florida. He is licensed to practice medicine in Illinois, Michigan, Florida and North Carolina.
Hetal H. Patel, M.D.
Dr. Patel received her Doctor of Medicine from The St. Louis University School of Medicine in 2011. She then completed a residency program in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Penn State – Hershey S. Milton Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in Otology at the Florida Ear and Sinus Center. Dr. Patel will be providing general Otolaryngological medical and surgical assistance to both adult and pediatric patients with a special emphasis in Otology which is medical and surgical care of patients, both adult and pediatric, with diseases that affect the ears (including hearing loss, tinnitus & inflammatory diseases of the ear), dizziness and other balance issues, facial nerve disorders, tumors of the ear, hearing nerve and skull base maladies.
Dr. Patel is an in-network provider for most commercial insurance plans.
Jamie Jelinek, PA-C
Jamie is a licensed physician assistant by the State of Illinois and is certified by the National Commission of Certification of the Physician Assistant. Jamie Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. She was awarded a Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant Studies degree from Midwestern University in 2012. Prior to her employment with Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group, Jamie gained valuable clinical experience through her position as a physician assistant with UnityPoint Methodist Family Practice, Pekin. Jamie works closely with each of our ENT physicians in providing outstanding clinical patient care.
