Dr. Holly J. Demichelis earned her Associate of Science degree at Illinois Valley Community College (1990) and proceeded onto earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University in Communicative Disorders (1993). She continued her Studies at Northern Illinois University, completing a Masters of Arts Degree in Audiology (1995). Dr. Demichelis began her Clinical Fellowship Year at Bloomington-Normal Audiology in Central Illinois and remained as a Clinical Audiologist and then Senior Clinical Audiologist providing comprehensive hearing and vestibular diagnostics as well as therapy to pediatric through geriatric populations until 2001. Dr. Demichelis continued her career at OSF John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac, IL, until 2003 whereby she provided hearing and vestibular diagnostics to pediatric through geriatric populations in an acute care, general medical and surgical facility.

Dr. Demichelis accepted the position of Director of Audiology at Peoria Ear, Nose and Throat Group in Peoria, IL, in 2003. She served in this role until 2019 whereby the Audiology Department experienced substantial growth in services and staff which led to the launch of a second location, The Hearing Health Center & Fyzical, in February 2019. During Dr. Demichelis’s role in leadership and as clinical provider, she earned her Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) Degree from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in 2009. Currently, Dr. Demichelis serves as a senior Clinical Audiologist at Peoria Ear, Nose and Throat Group providing a full array of clinical services to a primarily adult population with emphasis on advanced amplification treatment and tinnitus management. Dr. Demichelis is passionate to qualitatively change the negative impact of hearing loss, cognitive decline and tinnitus in her patients’ lives.

Dr. Demichelis is a long standing Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, Illinois Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. She has been an Academy Scholar Recipient three consecutive terms from the American Academy of Audiology. She has presented at an Illinois Academy of Audiology conference and advocated for the passing of the Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act (H.R. 2757) in U.S. Congress with her colleagues. Dr. Demichelis is licensed to practice Audiology in the state of Illinois and plans to expand licensure to Wisconsin. Other future endeavors include ABA certification in Tinnitus Management.
